Jefe`s Mexican Restaurant in Wichita Falls

Help was rude and wouldn’t seat a large group even though we were ok with being seated in smaller groups to accommodate the table seating.

Although the restaurant was a little bit toasty inside, it was clean and not very busy. Social distancing was enforced. The food was amazing and the plates were super big. I bought a 3 item plate that came with beans, rice and the house chips and salsa was amazing. My date had a big burrito (it was almost as big as him! Lol) and he enjoyed it. Almost had to roll us both outta there like a ball! We came hungry and left happy.

Food and service were good, like the Jefe's in Henrietta better tho.

Great food and service!! It's just a little small and kinda hot but it was like 105 degrees today.

This is my first time dining. The food was very good, and the staff is nice. I'll definitely have to come back and try more things on the menu. It's easy to see why this place is so popular among our community.

El jefe's has good food, decent drink specials, and the staff is efficient. They have a soup that is to die for. It's also more than I can eat without taking some home.

Greater flavor than the rest. Portions are hearty. Comfortable. Family friendly. Home style tex-mex comfort food. Staff are great.

Our family loves to come here for fresh, delicious Mexican food! The staff are attentive and always friendly and the atmosphere is festive and inviting. I've never tried a dish I haven't loved.

Great food, great service! Passing through Wichita Falls and stopped for the night. Jefes was close by so we gave it a try. Really good food and service. Jessica was our server and she went the extra mile!

Jefes is phenomenal. I LITERALLY ate here 6 times in 9 or 10 days. I absolutely adore Natalia and Jessica, and how they both are so bubbly and attentive. They have never bat an eye at my super dramatic and overboard order (combo Mexican stir fry sub jalapeños for bell peppers and 1/2 the onions) and they always have made me feel like I was the most important guest in the restaurant. The salsa and chips are always fresh and hands down the best in town. I’ve heard you can’t find better tortilla soup anywhere around. Food is delicious and very affordable. Drinks are great, try the toasted coconut one! You won’t be disappointed when you choose to dine here.

Very good. Didn't have to visit a lot of restaurants to find a decent chimmi. Great atmosphere, waitress was awesome.

We tried to call in an order three times but they would not answer the phone. So we made the mistake to go to Jefe's to eat. The service was do bad I had to demand that they give me to go carton's, pack our food and leave. We have been going to Jefe's for years and endured their inhospitality, but this is it! We will never order from JEFE'S again.

My family's favorite local Mexican spot in Wichita Falls! Margaritas are on point and I personally love their shrimp enchiladas. Highly recommend for local eats.

Went there a few nights ago with a couple of friends, our server was Jessica despite being backed up she did such a wonderful job and took great care of us. Food was also really worth it.

This is really a nice surprise. Wichita Falls hasn't had really decent Tex Mex in years. Some places have opened on the cheap and all they served was food from a bag. Jefe's is what I want from a Tex Mex restaurant. Local, traditional, and really good. It isn't ever going to be a four star place but who would want that. Service was quick and friendly. The restaurant was clean. The only downside is the signage needs to be improved because the restaurant is set far from the street.

I had the stuffed burrito that was on lunch special. It was VERY filling and very very tasty. The staff were running around, probably short-handed. My glass was filled twice but the service and interaction was nice. Guacamole is available upon request (for a small fee) with the complimentary chips and salsa (you have to ask for non-spicy haha, I like mine spicy!). You actually get a LOT of guacamole.

Good prices on delicious food and cocktails - and a fun atmosphere!

Just got home from it a bit ago, still feeling satisfied. Our server Jessica was top-notch, the guacamole was the best I've been able to find anywhere, the rest of the food was outstanding and very filling. Clean restaurant, inviting and relaxing atmosphere, great price. And it's right up the road so I intend to go back more often.

My folks actually told me about this place and decided to tag along one day. I'm glad I did as the food was absolutely amazing with the best chicken enchilada with ques-o in in this city. The chips and salsa were quite addictive to say the least. The service was okayish thanks to such quality teamwork assisting others.

The server asked twice if i wanted water she has two three tables that already has there food but since I'm a women I can't get no service had my food before my drink.... Food is great but service is not fair .....

I deliver meals for a living and have had several orders from here. The staff is always helpful and courteous, and food is usually ready to pick up as soon as I arrive

It's ok... it worked in a pinch but wouldn't choose this place as my "go to" mexican restaurant

The food here was (in my opinion) sub par. The prices were average for a Mexican food restaurant. Their saving grace was their staff. Excellent customer service and great wait staff. P.S. the traditional mexican music they play here is fine but is way too loud for my taste.

Disappointing. My family sat there for over 15 minutes, not a drink order, chips or a simple “somebody will be with you soon”. Friday night after 8. Not busy, waitresses everywhere. Smh, they have good food, and not first time this has happened to us there. Thank goodness we have other mexican restaurants in town.

OMGOSH!!! what a very good quesadilla and very filling.

Had a fabulous dinner. I ordered the chili relleno dinner (beef) and my wife got the "Grande" combo. Both plates not only looked and presented well, they tasted even better! Chips and salsa were delicious, and the staff was quick, friendly, and very attentive. five stars, will definitely be back.

Very rude over the phone when I tried to call an order in.. like the food, but very disappointed in the customer service tonight. I'll take my business elsewhere before being treated in such a disrespectful manner.

The food was good but the service was poor. Not very present.

Good customer service, flavorful food that tastes fresh and good ingredients. Their shredded chicken chimichanga is nice and juicy, I love it.

Finally good TexMex in Wichita Falls!! This place was recommended to me and so glad we gave it a try. Tried El Norteno II and Sevi’s and they didn’t compare when it comes to anything other than burritos. Steak Nachos were so good and made just the way I like them and Tortilla Soup looked & tasted way more than $6!! Salsa is fresh and flavorful and Queso was good too. Am the waitress was very attentive and polite. I found our new go-to Mexican joint!
